Lucy Ng'endo

Lucy is a 9-year-old girl currently in Grade 2 at Joy Nairobi School. In 2024, she and her 12-year-old brother, Dennis, were taken to Makimei Children’s Home by the Sub-County Children’s Officer after their mother was arrested and charged with child neglect. The children were expected to remain at the home for 6 to 9 months while their mother served her sentence at Lang’ata Women’s Prison.

After her release, their mother was placed under probation for a period of monitoring and rehabilitation. Unfortunately, she continued struggling with alcoholism, and tragically, she was later found dead in her house.
